Windstorm Reimbursement for Uninsured Home, Business Owners?

The South Pasadena Police Department is compiling information from home and business owners who suffered property losses during the recent windstorm.

City Council approved a resolution Wednesday declaring a local emergency in the City of South Pasadena.

As a result, state and federal emergency management agencies may make funds available to offset uninsured losses of homeowners and business owners in town.

"At this point a very rough estimate of the damages caused by the windstorm is $1 million," Gonzalez told Patch. "This is very rough since it can easily go up as residents start assessing their individual properties."
