Who's Been Filming in South Pas?
It was a busy week for filming: four TV shows, a pilot and a commercial all used South Pasadena as a backdrop recently.
Depending on the day, if you walked along El Centro Street during a recent bout of filming, you may've stumbled into Chicago or Sacramento.
A sizable set graced the lawn of the South Pasadena Public Library on Apr. 3, as Golden Globe award winner Simon Baker ambled about as Patrick Janes, in scenes for the Warner Bros. drama "The Mentalist.''
A day earlier, the 1000 block of El Centro Street and the 1000 block of Mission Street served as a Chicago neighborhood for "Perception,'' a TNT drama starring Kelly Rowan and Eric McCormack.

Other productions that filmed in South Pas last week, according to the city's film liaison Joan Aguado:
• Thursday: “Comedy Bang Bang,” TV show, 800 block of Mission; "I am Victor,'' a TV pilot starring John Stamos, 1000 block of Fremont Avenue, 1200 block of Chelten Way and 1500 block of Fair Oaks; "Speedmaster Insurance,'' a commercial, 1700 block of Mission Street.

• Friday: "Twisted,'' TV show for the ABC Family Channel, 400 block of Oaklawn Avenue.
