PHOTOS: Middle School Promotes Large Class

8th graders participated in promotion ceremonies at the middle school campus as their parting gesture before entering the high school next semester.

A standing room audience witnessed the final hurrah for 8th graders at Wednesday evening. The ceremony returned to the quad area after an absence during construction of the new campus.

Officials and board members of SPUSD were on hand to take part in the event.

Honor students were recognized and student leaders spoke to family members in the vast audience. principal Janet Anderson welcomed the student to the next level and explained what to expect.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Principal Dave Kubela gave certificates to the promoted students.
