Rose Court 2012 Announced

Though South Pasadena led the way with six finalists, none of them ended up being selected for the 2012 edition of the Court.

None of were able to make the final cut, with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association announcing the Court on Monday.

The Court is comprised of Altadena's Kimberly Ostiller, Morgan Eliza Devaud, 18, of La Canada High School, Stephanie Grace Hynes, 18, of Maranatha High School, Cynthia Megan Louie, 17, of La Salle High School, Drew Helen Washington, 16, of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Hanan Bulto Worku, 17, of Pasadena High School and Sarah Nicole Zuno, 17, of Benjamin Franklin High School.

featured six young ladies in the finalist pool of 34, which had been whittled down from more than 900 young women around the San Gabriel Valley.

The 2012 Rose Queen and her Royal Court will reign over the 123rd Rose Parade and the 98th Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 2.

Last year's queen, Evanne Friedmann, graduated from La Cañada High School in June.

Here are the upcoming Royal Court event dates:

  • Rose Queen Announcement: 9:30 a.m., Oct. 18
  • Coronation Ceremony: 11:30 a.m., Oct. 27
