Softball: Titans Shut Out Tigers 10-0

The 10-run mercy rule ended the pain for South Pas during this week's Rio Hondo League game in San Marino.

San Marino's star hurler Michelle Floyd pitched a no hitter this week that left the Tigers with nine strike outs and a Rio Hondo League record of 1-4.

South Pasadena lost to their rival in San Marino 10-0 on Wednesday, improving the Titans record to 11-4-1 overall and 3-2 in league play, according to the Pasadena Sun. The home team pounded 12 hits against their opponent and scored 10 runs.

Power pitcher Floyd told the newspaper, “We changed our approach against South Pasadena from the first time we played them. We made some adjustments and tried to keep them off balance.”
