Tiger Track Champs Rewarded by Coaches

Capping a successful track season, athletes and coaches celebrate their achievement at the athletic field.

After gaining an unprecedented sweep over rival Monrovia, and winning the Rio Hondo League title, Tiger track and field athletes were rewarded by their coaching staff with a party and BBQ.

The event was held last Thursday on the very same competition area where they compete, Solari Stadium. Tiger coaches grilled some hot dogs and hamburgers for their athletes and rented inflatable water games for their proteges to have fun with.

After all the partying, many of the athletes prepared to take part in these weekend MT SAC relays against some of the best high schools around. Former Tiger distance ace and CIF & state champ, Sam Ponce also competed for his current college, Princeton.
