Viewfinder: Scenes of South Pasadena

This week's photo gallery displays shots ranging from powder puff football to more construction on Fair Oaks.

This weeks Viewfinder depicts high school students starting preparations for the annual "powder puff" football game, which pits girls from the senior class versus the junior class. They are coached by boys from those classes who also will act the role of cheerleaders. There's also a glut of vacancies around the city of workspace lofts, with many new structures going up many are having a hard time finding tenants.

Construction on Fair Oaks continues, adding to the woes of many merchants on the boulevard, while the senior center is making preparations for its annual health fair. You'll see a nearby oasis just outside the city's borders that many residents don't know even exists, although many drive by it every day. You'll also take a look at the how many sidewalk coffee shops around town that are usually bustling with people sipping their favorite beverage now appear vacated, with recent cold weather driving customers indoors.
