Free CPR Training

The South Pasadena Fire Department will host free "hands-only" Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) lessons Tuesday during a county-wide Sidewalk CPR Day.

The simplified CPR technique, which firefighters often call a "lay person's CPR," utilizes basic chest compressions and does not require mouth-to-mouth contact.  Virtually anyone can quickly master the simplified technique and Tuesday's free lessons will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

According to the American Heart Association, which is promoting the simplified technique, CPR can more than double a person's chances of survival and is simple enough for a child to learn.

Tuesday's free lessons will take place at the South Pasadena Fire Department, 817 Mound Ave., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  No appointment is necessary.  This class is training only - no certificates will be awarded.  We hope to see you there!
