Earlier this month, UCLA women's water polo head coach Brandon Brooks announced the signing of four California players to the team, including Devin Grab of South Pasadena.
Grab joins Alexis Angermund of Long Beach, Grace Reego of Granite Bay and Alessandra Vilches of Woodland Hills as new teammates.
“We feel these players will make a strong impact on our program in the near future,” said Brooks in an announcement. “This group fills specific needs for our team, and features plenty of speed, scoring ability and defensive skill. We’re thrilled that these players chose to attend UCLA.”
According to UCLA Athletics, Grab helped lead the U.S. Women’s Youth Team to the 2013 Canada Cup title in December. The Los Angeles school added that Grab was also a member of the 2012 FINA Youth World Championship team.
In addition, at South Pasadena HS, she has scored more than 400 goals in her career. She was All-Rio Hondo League MVP and First-Team All-CIF honors three straight years. She also earned varsity letters in swimming and volleyball.
