Shootings Cause Police Presence at Popular Music Gathering
Concerns about copycats had local police patrolling Garfield Park at the weekly Sunday concert.
In light of the , there were two police officers keeping an eye on the crowd at South Pasadena's Sunday concert at .
Members of the South Pasadena Police Department, including uniformed Police Chief Joe Payne, patrolled the park looking for any signs of trouble.
"We assigned two officers to the event as a precaution," said Payne. "There was no reason to believe that the crowd in attendance was other than peaceful and consisted of mostly families. There were no problems."
