Homecoming at South Pasadena was highlighted by the crowning of Queen Emily Figueroa a senior. With her announcement as queen fireworks lit the skies above the stadium. The crowning of the royal court was preceded by a spectacular band performance and fire dancers that awed the crowd. But play on the field was diminished by the poor play of the Tiger football squad as they were only able to manage 3 field goals after numerous stalled drives during the 21-9 loss. Poor tackling by the defense allowed a weak Spartan offense to score three touchdowns. The loss puts the Tigers near the bottom of the standings and pretty much eliminates their chances of post season play. They conclude the season next week against lowly Blair, a game they should win.
