You're Invited: Saturday Stitching

Sip N Stitch has donated more then 400 blankets over the last three years to local charities. The group is always welcoming volunteers of any age.

Every month about 35 women meet in the basement of  to create hand-knitted blankets. 

The group, Sip N Stitch, has donated more then 400 blankets over the last three years to local charities, according to member Marta Veir Renna.

"Some of our women knit or crochet 7 x 9” squares and others come to help us whip stitch them together. All have a great time," she said. "The blankets are then blessed and donated to: Door or Hope, Elizabeth House, Red Cross, Haven House, and a few went to Afghanistan."

The group is always welcoming volunteers of any age. They meet twice a month on the second and fourth Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church basement B-6:
