1. South Pasadena Library closed Monday

Library buffs take note: The South Pasadena Public Library will not be open today, Monday, Jan. 20, on account of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is a public holiday.

2. Design Review Board meeting

The South Pasadena Design Review Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, Jan. 21, in the Mayor's Conference Room at City Hall, 1424 Mission St., (626) 403-7227.

3. Mission Wines Tax-Free Tuesday

South Pasadena's only boutique wine store, Mission Wines, located on 1114 Mission St., will offer its typically delicious flight of wines on Tuesday, Jan. 21, without charging sales tax. www.mission-wines.com. (626) 403-9463.

4. Farmers Market

The weekly South Pasadena Farmers Market will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. From fresh produce and flowers to food and entertainment, it’s the perfect way to kick start the weekend.
