1. Design Review Board meeting

The South Pasadena Design Review Board is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Mayor's Conference Room at City Hall, 1424 Mission St., according to the city website. 2. Mission Wines Tax-Free Tuesday

South Pasadena's only boutique wine store, Mission Wines, located on 1114 Mission St., will offer its typically delicious flight of wines today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, without charging sales tax. www.mission-wines.com. (626) 403-9463.

3. Senior Citizens Commission meeting

The Senior Citizen Commission is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 8:30 a.m. at the South Pasadena Senior Center, located at 1102 Oxley St. Contact Staff Liaison and Community Services Supervisor Liliana Farruggia-Torres at (626) 403-7364 for the meeting's agenda, which hasn't been posted on the city website

4. Farmers' Market

The weekly South Pasadena Farmers' Market will be held Thursday, Jan. 9, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come and get your fresh produce and other goodies for the week.

5. Water Rates forum

A forum on water rates ahead of impending hikes in South Pasadena is scheduled Thursday, Jan. 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Amedee O. "Dick" Richards, Jr., Council Chambers at City Hall, 1424 Mission St.
