PTA Meetings, Juggling, Author Night

1. South Pas High School PTA meeting

The Parent Teacher Association of the South Pasadena High School is scheduled to host its first meeting in the school's new calendar year today, Monday, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the high school, located at 1401 Fremont Ave. Questions? 2. South Pasadena Juggling Club

Learn or refine your juggling, hulahooping or unicycling with other jugglers, hulahoopers and unicyclers from the South Pasadena Juggling Club, which meets today, Monday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the lawns outside the South Pasadena Public Library. 3. South Pas Middle School PTA meeting

The Parent Teacher Association of the South Pasadena Middle School is scheduled to hold the first meeting in the school's calendar year on Wednesday, Aug. 28, starting at 7 p.m. The theme: “Everything You Want to Know about Middle School.” 1500 Fair Oaks Ave. Questions? 4. Ice Cream Social

The South Pasadena Senior Center, located at 1102 Oxley St., will host an ice cream social sponsored by Right At Home Care on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 12:30 p.m. Local agencies that work with older adults will provide the ice cream and representatives will be on hand to answer any questions. Another ice cream social at the senior center is scheduled on Friday, Aug. 30. Sponsored by AGA Medicare Options, the event will also take place at 12:30 p.m. Both events are free of cost. Questions? 5. Author Night 

Marjorie Lord, the Golden Age actress known for her role as Kathy “Clancy” Williams in the “Make Room for Daddy” television series during the 1950s and 1960s, will discuss her memoir, “A Dance and a Hug,” on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room on the premises of the South Pasadena Public Library. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session with the author.
