1. Parks & Recreation Commission meeting

The City of South Pasadena Parks & Recreation Commission is scheduled to meet today, Monday, Jan. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in South Pasadena City Hall, located at 1424 Mission St. The meeting is open to the public. 2. Mission Wines Tax-Free Tuesday

South Pasadena's only boutique wine store, Mission Wines, located on 1114 Mission St., will offer its typically delicious flight of wines on Tuesday, Jan. 14, without charging sales tax. www.mission-wines.com. (626) 403-9463.

3. City Council meeting

The South Pasadena City Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers in South Pasadena City Hall, 1424 Mission St.

4. Cultural Heritage Commission meeting

South Pasadena Cultural Heritage Commission is scheduled to meet Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers at South Pasadena City Hall, 1424 Mission St., (626) 403-7228. 

5. Farmers Market

The weekly South Pasadena Farmers Market will be held Thursday, Jan. 16, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. From fresh produce and flowers to food and entertainment, it’s the perfect way to kick start the weekend.
