Youth Commission, Tax-Free Wines, City Council Meeting

1. Youth Commission meeting

The South Pasadena Youth Commission is scheduled to meet today, Monday, Dec. 16, starting at 6 p.m. at the Orange Grove Recreation Building, Mid-Level Meeting Room, located at 815 Mission St. Click here to view the meeting's agenda. Call (626) 403-7321 with any questions.

2. Library opens late today

The South Pasadena Public Library will open at 2 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 17, because the library staff will be attending the city's annual holiday luncheon for city employees.

Mission Wines Tax-Free Tuesday

South Pasadena's only boutique wine store, Mission Wines, located on 1114 Mission St., will offer its typically delicious flight of wines today, Tuesday, Dec. 17, without charging sales tax. www.mission-wines.com. (626) 403-9463.


4. City Council meeting

The South Pasadena City Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers in South Pasadena City Hall, 1424 Mission St. The council will preside over a special "Green Team" study session about the city's environmental initiatives starting at 6:30 p.m. Following that, the council will meet for its usual open session starting at 7:30 p.m. Click here to view the meeting's agenda.

5. Farmers Market

The weekly South Pasadena Farmers Market will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. From fresh produce and flowers to food and entertainment, it’s the perfect way to kick start the weekend.
