To Joe Walker: If we are legally arguing this case in a court of some sorts, you would haveRead More undoubtedly lost. You have lost and could not defend the SPHS Athletics Director in his claim. --------------------------- First, we clarified that the SPHS Athletics Director was not factual; we presented rules that are contradictory to what the SPHS Athletics Director suggested. You shrugged off these rules. Second, you came back with the notion of ‘common sense’… we explained that walking around the track while a soccer game is in progress should not distract unfailing players. You were not fond of this answer either, but instead you called us names. That is not respectable for you accused us of pursuing kids… No sir, during a soccer game the players are using the inner field of the track and are far away from us. We, the serious walkers, are in our 50’s, 60’s and 70’s; some of us bring their kids to play while walking, while the others have grown up kids. And please understand that we walk to exercise, and only to exercise. ----------------------------------- And yes! SPUSD could flip a switch and declare the field off limits when any sporting event is taking place; they do that during football games to raise money. What I don’t understand is what you are going to gain by shutting down the track during all game; even during less glamorous ones! Why the negativity in your thinking? Why not think positive? ------------------------------------------------ So when you ran out of ideas and claims to throw them our way, you resorted to accuse us of being on the border of creepy. I believe if a person is nice, he or she thinks most of the people are nice. And if a person is crooked, he or she thinks most of the people are crooked. Thank you for thinking of us as creepy!

First off, we should all understand that the South Pasadena High School track and field is for theRead More STUDENTS first and foremost. I feel that community members are losing sight of this fact. If community members want to use the field, they should use the field when the students are not utilizing it for intramural sports programs period. Verbal agreements change, administrations change, and new rules follow period.

I do not understand why the SPUSD is looking outward when there are qualified candidates withinRead More the district. Ones who have come up through the system and are aware of its needs and shortcomings. Let's first check the viable people that are already here before going to the expense of bringing in someone from the outside.

Common Core is just about federal control, just think about having to jump over a thousand hoops, toRead More change a light bulb, instead of directly going to the school janitor, that's what dealing with anything federal is, to solve problems. Just a few generations ago, America and particularly California had one of the best schools systems in the world, and spend less than a tenth of what are they spending now per pupil. I say stop experimenting with our kids and stop taking control and money away from the parents and local communities.

Ms. Crawford: Your tip #4 is directed improperly only at sons. The study's results concluded thatRead More both males and females perpetrated sexual violence and that viewing of x-rated material was higher in perpetrators (without reference to sex).
