The South PasadenaMore Farmers' Market is open <strong>Thursdays 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the summer and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the winter</strong> in the historic Mission-West district. This farmers market features fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, flowers and organic food items.

The mission of the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation is to foster awareness and appreciation of the historicMore heritage of South Pasadena and to advocate and facilitate preservation of significant examples of that heritage.</p> <p>The foundation operates the South Pasadena Historical Museum.  </p> <p>South Pasadena's weekly farmers market is held on Thursdays on Meridian Avenue at El Centro. These streets are blocked off, but there is free street parking in nearby residential neighborhoods during this time.</p>

The South Pasadena Historical Museum is funded and operated by the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation and is openMore and free to the public. Special tours for schools or other groups can be scheduled by <a href="mailto:info@sppreservation.org">emailing the curator.</a> <br /><br />For many years, Meridian Iron Works created wrought-iron products until the City of South Pasadena purchased and restored its building. The South Pasadena Preservation Foundation started the museum in the 1980s and has operated it free to the public ever since. It provides a view into the culture and history that shaped South Pasadena. After you see the exhibit, you can buy souvenirs from the gift shop. Postcards, t-shirts, books and an <a href="http://www.sppreservation.org/sp%20stories%20dvd.jpg">oral history DVD </a>are for sale.</p> <p>South Pasadena's weekly farmer's market is held on Thursdays on Meridian Avenue at El Centro, so the streets immediately surrounding the museum are blocked off on Thursdays. Free street parking is available within walking distance in residential neighborhoods.</p>
