Erin Shaw, Neighbor

Erin Shaw is a freelance creative and food/travel blogger residing in Los Angeles, CA.

A native of South Pasadena, Erin has been writing and being creative since she was a child and she's loved cooking and traveling almost as long.

It began when at 10 years old, Erin's mother started allowing her to make the salads for family dinners. She soon learned how to make pasta al dente, BBQ a tri tip and cooked her first Thanksgiving turkey, sucessfully at age 16.

In 2011 while living in New York City, Erin began a food blog project called <strong>The Happy Mouth. </strong>The idea for the site was for 20 somethings to share their favorites places to eat and favorite things to cook. The site was an instant favorite amongst friends and family and soon expanded to have international readers. Composed of several authors hailing from different cities across the US and in the UK, the site had more than 7,000 views in its first year. 

Erin is absolutely thrilled to be contributing to the South Pasadena Patch and looks forward bringing readers into the know about the best local places to eat and shop for ingredients. She is excited to hear your comments, questions and tips!
