Katharine Ballas is a Los Angeles native and a lover of all things tasty. She graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2009 with a degree in Communication Studies and now works for a non-profit based in Downtown Los Angeles. She is the creator of the blog Meal Muse, a place where she documents her kitchen adventures as a novice cook and posts restaurant reviews from eateries all over Los Angeles and beyond. Her favorite things in life include (but are not limited to) irrationally expensive olive oil, Italian cappuccinos from Urth Caffé, knitting, and hiking the surprisingly steep hills surrounding her Mt. Washington home.
