It's time for an update. I've now been on the City Council for over 2 years, and was elected by the Council to serve as Mayor for this term. I've enjoyed getting even more involved in our wonderful community and believe I've made a positive difference for our City. I value strong public engagement and involvement, an efficient and responsive City Hall, a culture of diversity and consensus building, and the priority of quality of life/environment for our residents. I look forward to another great year of working with my wonderful fellow Councilmembers, City Staff, the Chamber of Commerce, Commissioners, and our wonderful residents to move us along in a balanced and thoughtful manner toward our goals.

I am a family physician and physician administrator, mother of 2, and I am a longtime South Pasadena resident.  I'm running for a seat on the city council.

My background and accomplishments include Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key Honors Society, and UC Regents Scholar Awards,  and B.S., Biology, Magna cum Laude, UCLA; M.D., UCLA 1992 degrees.  

South Pasadena is worth fighting for. The future holds both threats and opportunities. We need a city council we can trust to lead us effectively with vision through change toward our greatest potential.  I believe I can make a difference, because I have the right combination of vision, skill set and experience to contribute to the council in a meaningful way. I know how to build consensus, communicate my vision, promote a balanced team of decision-makers, and help people adapt to change.
