Petrea fell in love with the San Gabriel Valley when she and her husband got married in the back yard of their rental house in Altadena in 2001. They vowed to love, honor and continue living here.

She blogs daily at Pasadena Daily Photo, where the discussion ranges from history and architecture to dogs and zen. Blogging about her area has made her a student of the Denas, this place she's come to love.

Petrea's acting career has included stage, independent film, television and voice-over, and she's currently the voice of Stater Bros. Markets in southern California. A couple of other places you can check out her writing online if you're so inclined: her humor column, Act As If, appears in frequent "reruns" on NowCasting.com; and her flash fiction, Belinda's Birthday, was a finalist for 2009 Story of the Year at The Rose City Sisters. She's recently completed her first novel.

Petrea lives in Pasadena with her husband and their dog, Boz.
