Rachel McKnight, Neighbor

I am 16 years old and a senior at Westridge School for girls.  I’m rapidly approaching my first attempt at the SAT, college essays, and campus visits.  Over the summer I plan to visit schools that have strong programs in media communications and broadcast journalism and I am kicking off my college tour on Saturday. I am interested in working in media and entertainment journalism.  I am currently deciding if I should pursue a traditional journalism approach or attend school at a liberal arts college. I love to write, listen to music and go to concerts.  Photography is also a passion of mine. I love taking pictures at different events at school and other community events. I have run on the varsity track team since the 9th grade and will continue to run during my senior year. I love new adventures and am always willing to take on new challenges. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I plan to travel to all seven continents except for Antarctica. I  so far have been to three, North America, Europe, and Africa. I live in the area with my parents, older sister Jade, and dog Ninja.
